The monogrammed wedding invitation seems to be increasing in popularity. Monograms create a simple but stylish invite and the theme can be carried on through the rest of your wedding stationery.

The first thing to choose is the style of card that your want; postcard, wallet-style, gate-fold, etc. Then choose your font. Some stationers will allow you to choose from a range of fonts from simple sans-serif styles to intricate serif typefaces. Example serif font are Times and Georgia. Although you can get much more complex and "fancy" serif fonts. Example sans-serif fonts are Arial and Helvetica.

Usually monogrammed wedding invites are simple in their design and therefore you can afford to choose a more intricate font. It wont create an "over the top feel" as it might with a more complicated design. You might want to choose a more unusual type of card. For example, handmade, mirror finished, silver, gold or textured.
